From the Barf Blog
”Whenever I think of leftover pizza, I recall my teenage years listening to Rolling Stones on vinyl at George’s apartment, I wonder whatever happened to that stray puppy one of the visitors brought home until the fleas were discovered, and I wonder how long the pizza would be good. I’ve probably eaten pieces of pizza that spent the night on the turntable.
So when Susan Reef, president of US Food Safety Corp., says eating pizza that has spent a few hours at room temperature is a no-no, I sorta scoff (low water activity, no epidemiological history of outbreaks from morning-after pizza consumption, she probably doesn’t like the Stones).”
Susan Reef’s response: Hey Doug, you don’t me. Back in the day, I ate leftover pizza that had been out all night. I also ate steak, onion and cheese subs that were greasy and gorged on donuts and coffee at the all night Dunkin Donuts on Route 9.
I know better now and hopefully you do also. So what do your comments have to do with food safety? You eat leftover dairy products that have been several hours, not refrigerated, you run the risk of becoming ill.
As for the slight about the Rolling Stones, you really don’t know me, so Get Off of My Cloud. They rank right up there with the Fab Four, Herman’s Hermits, and other groups from the British Invasion. Do you know what that is? Ruby Tuesday to you Doug. Glad you read USA Today.

Susan Reef mentioned the right thing, you should take good care about food safety, you should always eat safe food in order to keep yourself healthy, you can also get training about safe food handling and can join online courses for it.
