PizzaIn the heart of Northeastern University, a local pizzeria has been closed for critical violations by the City of Boston. The local pizzaria didn’t throw away spoiled food after a power outage resulting in a critical (three star) violation.

Cappy’s Pizza and Subs located at 82 Westland Ave in Boston was closed and has not reopened as of this morning according to the Mayor’s Food Court website. The inspection was conducted on September 5, 2011.

Northeastern and Berklee College of Music students will have to find somewhere else to go to get their late night snacks. This area of Boston is not lacking for food establishments.

After a few beers, would students have noticed the difference in the food? Probably not. Thank you to the Boston Health Inspectors for their diligence.
