Recalled Missouri Sausage Located

Posted on December 30, 2008 by

US Food has to report this. It confirms what the LA Times reported today . The FDA needs help and will be “backburnered” because the money is going elsewhere. This recall, however, came from the USDA ( United States Department of Agriculture), and effected one manufacturer that produced 750 pounds of contaminated sausage and one store in Missouri.

I get it. If I visited Missouri and went to the one retail store that sold the product, I should know about this. How about posting a sign on the highways in Missouri, like they do in Massachusetts, when it snows, or there’s an accident ahead, that says “Beware Bad Sausage” and a number to call? Both highways and the USDA are federally funded and it may have more of an impact.

Happy and Safe New Year.
