Remember the food recall on September 13, 2011? It is hard to remember about past recalls when we are hearing about cantaloupe related deaths. Fine Mexican Food Products recalled frozen avocado pulp in bulk and IQF avocado halves. All lots were recalled.

1,423 cases of 12/2 pounds of Frozen Avocado Pulp and 1,820 cases 8/3 pounds of Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) Avocado Halves were distributed since June 2010. The products were contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recall is ongoing and the products were distributed in California and maybe other states.

The products could be in your freezer so please check.
