I never gave a second thought to Hostess. Twinkies, Cupcakes are just junk food that would find it’s way to my hips eventually. For the next hour I have that obnoxious fast food taste in my mouth and occasionally burp.

Now the world is obsessed with Hostess. “You don’t know what you got till it’s gone” is the right mantra. Twinkies are on E-Bay for high prices and people are searching for that last box of Twinkies, somewhere anywhere. Food Safe Guru – The Twinkie Obsession

Don’t people have anything better to do? This is junk food people! Ding Dongs, Wonder Bread, those Frosted Hostess Cupcakes are what makes childhood memories.

Hostess also produced: Twinkies®, CupCakes®, Ding Dongs®, Ho Ho’s®, Sno Balls®, Donettes®, Drake’s® cakes, and Dolly Madison®. Bread brands include Wonder®, Nature’s Pride®, Merita®, Home Pride®, Butternut®, and Millbrook®, among others.

Ovenight Y girls camp meant a treat of bread, butter and sugar. The bread was Wonder Bread. Low fat Devil Dogs were a staple in my family for a few years.

This isn’t about the end of a Twinkie. It is about a company and the labor union. It’s about Hostess saying enough is enough and the loss of jobs. Governor Chris Christie didn’t want to discuss Twinkies and I don’t blame him. What knucklehead asked New Jersey governor about Twinkies when his state was in such disarray. Shame on them.

My mother who passed away this year, once mentioned to me that I should only have Wonder Bread in the house. Her reasoning was that Wonder Bread tasted so bad that no one would eat it saving those calories.

I hope that Hostess survives so Americans can focus on what’s really important. Did the lack of Twinkies really bother Honey Boo Boo.
