Chicago police recovered more than $500,000 Saturday in stolen chocolate, alcohol and other merchandise from a South Side warehouse.

They said the goods were found in a warehouse in the 2600 block of West 35th Street as a result of an investigation conducted by the department’s Intelligence Section.

They included several pallets of Ghirardelli chocolates valued at $150,000, $175,000 worth of alcohol, a pallet of BMW auto parts and multiple pallets of cement water fountains, police said.

They said several stolen vehicles also were found in the parking lot outside the warehouse, including three full-length trailers, two semi-tractors, a cargo van and a cargo truck.

No one was arrested, according to the police, who said the investigation is ongoing.

Editor’s note: Sounds like someone is having one big party.
