Mexicali Dip Recalled for Listeria

Following the Reser’s Fine Foods  recall where select Reser’s products were recalled due to the potential of being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, Dutch Treat Salads, LLC, of Zeeland, MI, is  recalling one product, Mexicali Dip, that contains one ingredient recalled by Reser’s.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with these products.

The potential contamination did not originate at the Dutch Treat Salads facility.

The recalled Mexicali Dip was sold bulk in 10 pound cases to one distributor in Michigan under the Lipari Old Tyme label.

The distributor sold it in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

It was also sold in retail stores in Michigan in bulk 5 pounds bags and 14 ounce containers under the Dutch Treat Salads label. The recalled product has “Use By” dates of 10/18/13 through 11/22/13.

Consumers who have purchased the product should throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may call the company collect at 616-772-5921. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. EST.
