Bueno Foods recalls Frozen Green Chile

Update:  Kroger  has posted the following in conjunction with the recall below.

Bueno Chopped Green Chile Hot , 13 OZ;

Bueno Chopped Green Chile Mild, 13OZ;

Bueno Chopped Green Chile Mild, 28 OZ;

Bueno Chopped Green Chile Hot , 28 OZ;

Bueno Chopped Green Chile Extra Hot , 13 OZ

Affects King Soopers, Frys, Food4Less, FoodsCo, and Kroger stores located in Texas and Louisiana.


Bueno Foods has recalled its frozen non-ready-to-eat green chile for the potential to contain very low levels of the common bacteria Listeria monocytogenes in its uncooked, raw state. Tests performed on samples of the product cooked per the validated cooking instructions on the product’s label showed no Listeria present.

As of Tuesday, there have been no reports indicating that these products have caused any illness.
