Boston MA Newbury St. Restaurant Closed for Health Code Violations

The Boston MA Board of Health has closed the following restaurant for health code violations.

Inspection Date: 8/18/2014

*** Violation: Adequate Handwashing/Where/When/How

Comments: Not able to wash hands. Using hand sink to dump mop water. No paper towels.

** Violation:  Food Contact Surfaces Clean

Comments: Clean and sanitize all food contact equipment.

* Violation  Non-Food Contact Surfaces Clean

Comments: Clean and disinfect all non food contact equipment prior to operating.

** Violation: Sewage and Waste Water

Comments:  Open sewage pipe under repair while operating. Sewage odors present. Provide a permit and proper repair from licensed plumber.

* Violation:  Mop Sink not Provided

*** Violation:  PIC Knowledge

Comments: Person in charge unable to take corrective actions and close during sewage repair; staff continued to operate (8-404.11) Foods discarded by staff members. Review requirements and responsibilities as stated in handouts provided and the 105 CMR 590.000 regulations.
