Soybean Sprouts and Mungbean Sprouts Recalls

Kkot Saem Sprouts, Inc. of Spanaway, Washington is recalling Soybean Sprouts and Mungbean Sprouts sold under brand names Kkot Saem, Winter Blossom Bean Sprouts and Winter Blossom because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Soybean Sprouts and Mungbean Sprouts were distributed at H-Mart in Washington and Oregon, and G-Mart in Oregon. The last date of distribution was December 16, 2014.

The mungbean sprouts has a 5-day shelf life from the packing date and soybean sprouts has a shelf life of up to two weeks from the packing date.

This recall was the result of a sample collected and analyzed by FDA that revealed the finished mungbean sprouts contained Listeria monocytogenes.

No illnesses or deaths have been reported.

Consumers who purchased the recalled soybean sprouts or mungbean sprouts are urged to return them to the place of purchase or discard products. Consumers who have questions should call Kkot Saem Sprouts at (253) 226-7569, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm Pacific time.
