10,752 cans of Hill Country Fare Chunk Light Tuna Recalled

San Antonio, Texas – H-E-B is recalling 224 cases (10,752 cans) of Hill Country Fare brand 5 oz. Chunk Light Tuna in Oil.

This recall has been initiated because the product, produced at a co-packer, may have been undercooked due to an equipment malfunction, which was uncovered during a routine inspection. There have been no reported illnesses to date.

The Hill Country Fare brand 5oz. canned Chunk Light Tuna in Oil was sold at H-E-B Texas stores in single cans between Feb. 24, 2016 and March 16, 2016.

The recall impacts the following product only:

Product lot code 6O9FZ SCEES
Best By date (printed on the bottom of the can) is 2/9/19.
