Kraft Heinz has issued a recall on approximately 500 cases of gravy due to possible mislabeling.

The release on the Food and Drug Administration’s website states the recall is for cases of Heinz HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy that may be mislabeled as Heinz Pork Gravy. The bad labels do not state the gravy contains milk and soy, two ingredients that can cause serious reactions in people allergic to them. Kraft Heinz said it has not received any reports of illness related to the recalled gravy.

Editor’s note: no information on FDA site.

The recalled 12-ounce jars have a Best By date of 12/28/2017 and manufacturing code of MU6F04 4Q followed by a time stamp.

Editor’s note: The FDA’s link to the entire recall is currently not available. Here is the information posted.

Allergy Alert Issued on Mislabeled Product for Undeclared Milk and Soy in Heinz Homestyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy

Approximately 500 cases of Heinz HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy are voluntarily being recalled because some of the jars may be mislabeled as Heinz Pork Gravy and therefore not labeled as containing milk and soy.
After speaking with a representative from Kraft Heinz, to have the recall e-mailed to our office, we were told that they could only “discuss” the recall over the phone and not e-mail. The recall is not posted on the Kraft Heinz website. Kraft Heinz is not a small company and not to e-mail to a media outlet is not acceptable.
