Grocery retailers added to Orajel Recall

Wegmans has posted the following recall on its website.

Baby Orajel Instant and Nighttime Relief, and TopCare Teething Pain Relief, multiple varieties and sizes

These products are being recalled in response to the FDA’s warning that these products are not effective, and benzocaine, the pain reliever in the products, poses a serious risk to infants and children under the age of 2.

Price Chopper posted the following recall on its website.

•18 oz Baby Orajel Nighttime UPC 10310 33940
•18 oz Baby Orajel Day/Night UPC 10310 31955

Reason for Recall:

The product is being recalled because it contains Benzocaine (BEN-ZOH-KEYN) which may pose a serious health risk to infants and children. If you have the affected product, you may return it to your local store for a full refund.
