Kroger has posted the following recall on its website.

CAPTAIN JOHN DERST’S OLD FASHIONED BREAD, 20 OZ

Affects Kroger stores located in Georgia; South Carolina; Auburn, Alabama;

Reason: An ingredient in the bread may contain Salmonella and if eaten could cause serious illness. This, however, is very unlikely due to the kill step in the baking process which destroys pathogenic microorganisms.

Recalled on July-20-2018.
