Lindt & Sprüngli (USA) Recalls Excellence 85% Cocoa Bar

Walmart posted the following recall on its website.

Lindt & Sprüngli (USA) Inc. is recalling one lot of its Lindt Excellence 85% Cocoa chocolate bar distributed in the state of New York because it may contain undeclared milk allergens in amounts that exceed thresholds established by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. The product is labeled with a precautionary statement “May Contain Milk” just beneath the ingredient declaration to alert consumers who are allergic to milk.

Lindt has received no reports of any illness, allergic reactions, or allergen-related complaints for this product to date.

The recall is limited to Lindt Excellence 85% Cocoa chocolate bars sold in New York state, labeled with a Best Before date of 08-31-2020, Lot Code L4809, and UPC Code 0-37466-01645-0.

Consumers who have milk allergies or sensitivities should not consume the product and may contact Lindt directly for a refund. If there are further questions, please contact us at anytime or at 1-877-695-4638 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. EDT daily.
