Quarantine greenhouses’ so diners can eat while social distancing is a solution I can embrace

Now here’s an idea I can embrace.

I lament not having my usual date night with my husband going to a crowded restaurant, listening to music or to my local upscale eatery and enjoying a meal. Selfishly, I miss being waited on. I miss the camaraderie, and just getting out, facing each other, and talking.

These days the conversation is “What’s for dinner?” or”how long is the stay at home orders”. “Did you hear what the governor said today?” My personnel favorite is, “Did you see the grandkids?”.

So when I read the article about “quarantine greenhouses” I thought, how cool is that? Especially with the nice weather coming, this is an idea whose time has come. With take-out only or delivery currently the only options to have have really good food, and the nice weather coming, this idea appealed to me on so many levels.

These plastic greenhouses are just made for the current pandemic. You can have fans inside, put them in a patio, or have a celebration on a park with them and have restaurants participate.

Just think, this could be an answer for social distancing dining. I can get out of my sweats and look forward to a night out.

I am getting ahead of myself. People are dying, restaurants are closing and farmers are throwing away food. I don’t see this ending anytime soon.

A girl can always dream, right?
